The University of Oviedo facilitates the process of arrival and adaptation of its international students. To this end, the academic institution organises different activities designed especially for foreign students to with the region in which they are going to live and gradually get to know all the opportunities that the University of Oviedo and its surroundings offer them.

Each student will be able to choose from a varied programme of options to gradually integrate into their new country. Those who arrive in Asturias before the start of the academic year will be able to take part in specific welcome activities.

The activities on offer to facilitate the adaptation of foreign students include Spanish courses, leisure and cultural activities and a Welcome Week before the start of classes.

Learning or improving the Spanish language is one of the main objectives of international students and they can do so through the wide range of Spanish courses offered by the university.
