Student support and advice for internships and first jobs

The University of Oviedo supports its students with multiple counselling and career guidance resources, in all its centres, to inform students about the employment opportunities of their studies, a first and fundamental step on their way to internships and employment.

Knowing in which field the recent graduate can best develop their profession and what they can offer companies is the first step before starting the job search. The University of Oviedo offers comprehensive information and advice to students who are about to finish their studies or have just finished them. It also provides them with strategies and tools to make their job search efficient.

The employment counsellors have information points on the Oviedo, Gijón and Mieres campuses. They advise on strategies to follow for the preparation of a CV, how to prepare for an interview, the professional skills of each candidate or the sources where to look for job offers.

The Vice-rectorate for Students also organises a series of free career guidance seminars throughout the academic year to support students in their job search process.

  • If you are a student and apply for an internship, you must access the University of Oviedo intranet (Academic Services SIES) with your corporate passwords (uoxxxx, where xxxx is a number).
  • Access for companies
