Transport: how to get around the campuses

Students and visitors to the University of Oviedo have a wide range of ways to get to Asturias, move around the region and travel between campuses.

The university campuses have a wide network of public transport connections. University students under 31 years of age have a 'Youth Pass' which applies a discount on the monthly CTA Pass.

The Centro Bus Universidad service of the mentioned consortium connects the university campuses with Oviedo, Gijón, Mieres and Avilés, making stops to pick up and drop off passengers in their cities of origin.

Asturias Airport is in Santiago del Monte (Castrillón), 45 kilometres from Oviedo and 40 kilometres from Gijón. The journey time between the two cities and the airport varies between 30 and 45 minutes, depending on traffic. There are regular flights to Madrid, Barcelona, the Canary Islands, the Balearic Islands, Valencia, Murcia, Andalusia and direct international connections with several European capitals.
