The first step in the careers of young researchers at the University of Oviedo is the reading and publication of their doctoral theses. Hundreds of them read their work each year. All the doctoral theses read at the institution are deposited in the Library of the University of Oviedo (BUO).
The Teseo database, of the Ministry of Education, offers the references and a small summary of the doctoral theses of the University of Oviedo, together with those of the rest of Spanish universities.
