A student of Industrial Technical Engineering wins the Cajastur Prize for the best academic record of the University of Oviedo in the 2011-2012 academic year

Diego Turrado Blanco will receive the prize as part of the Acts of the Festivity of Saint Catherine

The jury of the Cajastur Prize to the best academic record of the University of Oviedo has agreed unanimously to award Diego Turrado Blanco, student of Industrial Technical Engineering in the speciality of Mechanics, who obtained the best academic record at the Asturian academic institution during the 2011-2012 academic year.

The prize will be presented within the frame of the festivity of Saint Catherine. The student will also receive a 6,000-euro award. All the winners of the Final Degree Prizes can opt for the Cajastur Prize.

The jury choses the winner according to some criteria established previously. Thus, only those with an average grade of, at least, sobresaliente can opt for the prize. Among them, and by applying this formula, the best academic record is chosen taking into account the average grade, the complexity of the degree and the grades obtained by their classmates.
