The University Orientation and Open Days of the Universidad de Oviedo will be held virtually this year due to the health situation caused by COVID-19. The Vice-Rector's Office for Students, together with the University Mobility Department, the Rector's Office for Digital Transformation, the IT and Communications Service and the Audio-visual Media Service, has scheduled these days for the week of 17 to 21 May in the afternoon from 15:30 to 19:30.  The aim of this initiative is to inform students who wish to study at the Universidad de Oviedo of the extensive academic offer of the Asturian institution of higher education.

Those interested - students, parents, and teaching staff- will be able to access the different presentations through the web page set up by the University https://puertasabiertas.uniovi.es and ask their questions through a chat on the Microsoft Teams platform. Those who need it will also be able to follow the presentations with subtitles in Spanish and English.

The conference will be inaugurated on Monday 17 May at 15:30 by the Rector of the University of Oviedo, Ignacio Villaverde, the Vice-Rector for Students, Alfonso López Muñiz, and the Regional Minister for Education of the Principality of Asturias, Carmen Suárez. After the inaugural session, the students will be able to get to know the University of Oviedo firs- hand. In addition, each faculty and/or school will have a day and time for a live broadcast via Teams.
