The House of Languages of the University of Oviedo offers 48 courses in 14 languages

The ordinary enrolment period will close on September, 30th

During the 2020-2021 academic course, The House of Languages of the University of Oviedo offers 48 courses in 14 languages: German, Arabic, Asturian, Catalan, Chinese, French, modern Greek, Hebrew, English, Italian, Japanese, Spanish Sign Language, Portuguese and Russian. The courses can be taught by one or several teachers, all of them specialists in each one of the languages.

There will be courses in the Centre of University Services in Avilés, in the Gijón/Xixón Campus as well as in the Milan Campus in Oviedo/Uviéu.

The duration of the courses is of 75 hours (Monday & Wednesday courses, from October, 14th 2020 until the middle of May 2021; Tuesday & Thursday courses, from October, 13th 2020 until the start of May 2021), excepting that the number of local holidays and of the centre might imply a small extension until completing the 75 hours. Each group receives two weekly sessions of 85 minutes of duration (Monday & Wednesday / Tuesday & Thursday). The maximum number of students per group is 25. The minimum age to get enrolled in these courses is 17 years.

The compliance with the health protocol established for the face-to-face teaching method in the University of Oviedo will be observed rigorously: health security separation between the students inside the classrooms, the use of face masks, intense ventilation of the classrooms between classes, use of hydro-alcoholic gel available for the users of The House of Languages, and further measures that could eventually be established by the competent authorities.

The ordinary enrolment period is from the 1st to the 30th of September, and subsequently an extraordinary period will be opened from the 8th to the 15th of October.

It is important to remember that the educational/linguistic offer of The House of Languages is open to any person interested in learning modern languages: that is to say, you are not required to be a student, PDI or PAS of the University of Oviedo to be able to get enrolled in any of the courses that are taught in the Centre.
