The University of Oviedo has organized the III International Meetings of Virtual Campuses

The deadline to submit the projects for the meeting will remain open until the 30th November. The event will take place on the 25th and 26th January, 2012. It can be followed online, via streaming.

The Faculty of Teaching Training and Education will be the Asturian scenario for the III International Meetings of Virtual Campuses. An occasion in which diverse experts will analyze "the art state" of the Spanish and International virtual campuses as well as the probable evolution of those training channels which are fully integrated in most of the higher education institutions' strategies.

They will take place on the 25th and 26th January 2012 and they registration period, which will finish on the 19th January, has just been opened. Up to the next 30th November works about interest topics for the meeting can be sent. The organization proposes the following ones, even if they are non-exclusive:

  • ""Opening to society (repositories with objects in open, virtual mobility, social networks and 2.0 web, experiences...)
  • "Outer projection" (networks and international cooperation, internationalization of training programmes, collaboration between institutions, shared virtual campuses...)
  • "Quality and innovation" (quality in e-learning and b-learning, quality standards, quality policies, quality assessment, training for teachers, technicians and virtual learning managers, educational innovation...)
  • "e-learning and digital contents engineering" (e-learning, b-learning and m-learning architectures, solutions for multimedia classrooms; production, distribution systems as well as publishing of digital contents, certifications for the software quality, assessment of applications' usefulness, systems and platforms, practical experiences, technological innovations, learnt lessons...)

The contributions must be sent through the EasyChair system to manage conferences. Files must be sent in PDF format, following LNCS template of Springer. Proceedings will be published in a volume with ISBN.

These meetings, which can be followed online, via streaming, will be held after the ones celebrated in Tenerife (2009) and Granada (2010). They likewise represent a way of strengthen cooperation ties among institutions as well as opening new opportunities for virtual mobility, consolidating cooperation networks and promoting internationalization, all of them fostered by virtual campuses.
