Institutional recognition to the athletes who won a medal in the Spanish Championships in this season
More than fifty university athletes were the stars of this event which was held at the Historical Building.
Athletics, basketball, cross country, football, golf, judo, karate and swimming are some of the sports in which representatives and teams of the University of Oviedo have been given medals in the Spain Championships 2010/2011. Next Thursday, 16th of June, they received the traditional university recognition in the Auditorium of the Historical Building of the University of Oviedo, at 12:00h.
A total number of 53 sportsmen and women were supported by the rector, Vicente Gotor, and part of his team, the general manager of Universities and the Sports managing director of the Principality, the president of the Social Council, sponsors and coaches of the sections and sports teams.
The University's prize list in these Championships has summed 17 medals: five golden medals, 2 silver medals and ten bronze medals. .
