Presenting clearly and severely the current knowledge about gender violence: that is the main goal of the III Conference on Gender and Diversity which will be held at the Assembly Hall of the Library of the Humanities Campus, el Milán (Oviedo), next 15th and 16th March.
Led by lecturers María Ángeles Alcedo and Yolanda Fontanil, this conference will get closer to gender violence from a global and multidisciplinary perspective through a program which includes from plenary lectures to debates, exhibition panels, round tables, visualization of movies and performances.
Apart from counting on specialists in gender and women's studies from varied areas of knowledge, professionals from other fields will also take part in the conference to offer a complementary, practical approach. This will provide the audience with a more comprehensive knowledge both of the diversity of gender violence itself and the measures taken to eradicate it.
