The Scientific Culture Unit of the University of Oviedo joins the UCC+i network of the FECYT

For the last ten years it has organised more than 850 dissemination activities, with more than 500 researchers and 35,000 participants

The Scientific Culture Unit of the University of Oviedo has already joined the Network of Scientific Culture and Innovation Units (UCC+i Network) promoted by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness, in collaboration with the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT).

For eleven years, the Scientific Culture Unit of the University of Oviedo has organised more than 580 free dissemination activities. Its initiatives have counted on the collaboration of more than 500 researchers and the number of participants exceeded 35,000 people. These data turn the University of Oviedo into the greatest scientific disseminator of the region.

This inclusion in the UCC+i Network implies being part of one of the main dissemination and popularization agents of science and innovation in Spain, which seek to improve the training, culture and scientific knowledge of citizens. The UCC+i Network aims to boost the exchange of experiences and the search for synergies to optimise the resources of the Scientific Culture and Innovation Units.

The members of the network have some advantages such as registration preference in those training and meeting initiatives promoted by FECYT; getting more points in the modality corresponding to the Call for Grants for the Scientific Culture and Innovation Program managed by FECYT; or the registration in the institutional area on ComCiRed's website. This portal is a meeting point for the exchange of information and resources between the members of the dissemination and communication networks coordinated by FECYT.
