The VII Spanish- Portuguese Conference gets 250 professionals from 6 countries together
The VII Spanish- Portuguese Conference for Nursing students, organised by students and lecturers at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of the University of Oviedo and the Vice-rector's office for Students and Employment, has bagun this afternoon in Oviedo with the participation of 250 students and lecturers from Universities of Portugal, United Kingdom, Italy, Finland, Greece and Spain.
This year's encounter focuses on the academic offer for postgraduate studies available for these professionals and with the outstanding reference of the Erasmus Mundus Master's Degree in Emergency and Critical Care Nursing, in collaboration with the University of Algarve, the Polytechnic Institute of Santarém and the Helsinki Metropolita University of Applied Sciences. A total of 265 people from 45 countries applied for one of the 25 places offered for this Erasmus Mundus Master's Degree.
The Vice-Rector for Teaching Staff, Julio Antonio García, has been in charge of opening the encounter, which is being held at the Princess Letizia Conference Centre, in Oviedo. The program includes round tables, where the current situation and the academic specialization opportunities for these professionals will be dealt with, as well as the role international mobility plays in the improving of students and lecturers' qualification.
Finally, this program also includes speeches given by the students and workshops where the students can develop different techniques.
