They will analyze the coordination of interventions by the Campus of Excellence, Univalue's activity and the group's international expansion.
The Rector of the University of Oviedo, Vicente Gotor, presides over the G9 General Assembly of Rectors, which is held next 20th January. The meeting, which will take place in Oviedo, will begin with the signing of the half-yearly G9 presidency's transfer to the Rector of the Asturian University.
Some items to be dealt with in the order of the day are the following: the nominations of candidates for the management of the Shared Virtual Campus of the G9, the analysis of coordination of interventions by the Campus of Excellence, the university's development cooperation, the evaluation of the international expansion of the Group or the presentation of the 2011 financial statement for its approval. They will also analyze Univalue's developing actions. Univalue is an enterprise created by The G9 Group to facilitate the university research results' transference to the socioeconomic environment.
The Rectors of the Universities of Cantabria, Extremadura, Illes Balears, Basque Country, Navarra and La Rioja will join Gotor in the Assembly, which will be held in the University's Historic Building. Ignacio Largo Gil, director of Enterprise Relationship Management of the UPV/EHU and Univalue's managing director will join them as well. The Rectors of the Universities of Zaragoza and Castilla-La Mancha will not attend the meeting.
The Group of Universities G-9 has a common objective, which is promoting the collaboration among them both with respect to teaching and researching and to management and service activities.
