The Rector and the Deputy counsellor of Culture and Sports of the Principality of Asturias will attend the presentation ceremony of Benito de l'Auxa and Antón Valdivares' book next 2 May, at 13 pm, at the University's Auditorium.
On the occasion of the celebration of the 33rd Selmana de les Lletres Asturianes (from 30 April to 4 May), the University of Oviedo will hold the book presentation of "Poesíes", a volume which includes the complete work by Benito de l'Auxa and Antón Baldivares.
The ceremony will be held at the Historic Building's Auditorium, next 2 May, at 13 pm. It will be presented by the lecturer at the University of Oviedo, Xuan Carlos Busto Cortina and will count on the attendance of the Rector of the University of Oviedo, Vicente Gotor, and the Deputy Counsellor of Culture and Sports of the Principality, Emilio Marcos Vallaure.
Benito de l'Auxa (1742-1814) and Antón Balvidares (1751-1792) are the poets the Selmana de les Lletres is paying tribute to this year. They are writers from the well-known "half- century generation" who adopted the renovating view and criticism of the Enlightenment and, with a refined literary cultivation in Asturian language, faced the forms of the Old Regime.
