The University of Oviedo has held the award ceremony of the SICUE mobility grants for the students who will go on a mobility experience to another Spanish university during the next academic year. The grants have been called for by the Campus of International Excellence and are entirely funded by Cajastur.

The Vice-Rector for Researcha and Campus of International Excellence, María Paz Suárez Rendueles, the director of Institutional Relations and Social Matters of Cajastur, Carlos Siñeriz, and the Vice-Rector for Students, Luis Rodríguez Muñiz, have been in charge of giving the students the certificate that proves that they have been awarded the grant.

A total of 57 students will spend 5 or 9 months in another Spanish university. The amount of the grant will be of a maximum of €400 for students whose destination is in the Peninsula. For those who have to travel to the Balearic or Canary Islands, or the cities of Ceuta and Melilla, the amount of the grant will be of a maximum of €550.

The SICUE (System of Exchange between Spanish University Centers) is a Spanish mobility program for university students that enables them to make a stay in another Spanish university, with the same guarantees of academic recognition and use of their studies as in their university of origin.
