The University of Oviedo strengthens the promotion of its academic offerings in the second edition of its Academic Fair, which this year will be offered in two places, Oviedo and Gijón, due to the great success in this event organized last year. The fair, organized by the Vice-Chancellor for Students, groups all faculties and schools and it serves as a reference for prospectus students. The II Academic Fair will be held on May 18, in the Old Institute Cultural Center of Gijón, and on May 21 at the Hall of the Historical Building in Oviedo. The event will start at 17:00 in both cases.

Among the most relevant features for next year, the academic institution strengthens its commitment to internationalization and implements two new undergraduate bilingual tracks: Degree in Primary Education and Degree in Industrial Technologies Engineering. The Campus of International Excellence has promoted, with the support of Liberbank, bilingual programmes to facilitate the mobility of our students and the talent attraction of foreign students. Almost 700 students are currently undertaking a bilingual track at the University of Oviedo, and the offer will increase to 17 degrees next year.

Two new undergraduate bilingual tracks and the first degree available online are the main novelties for the academic year 2015-2016

In addition, 2015-2016 will be the first year in which the University of Oviedo will offer a degree online. The Degree in Public Administration and Management will be the first degree offered online at the Asturian academic institution, with 40 vacancies.

The 19 faculties and schools of the University of Oviedo will attend this event and will present specific information about the degrees they offer. Members of the dean´s team will be glad to solve all the doubts that students may have. The Student Information and Advice Center (COIE) will also attend the fair to solve all the doubts relating to the academic offer of the institution, the University Entrance Exam (PAU), available grants for students, accommodation opportunities for university students or the different ways to access university studies.

Likewise, the House of Languages will also present its offer of language training and Spanish for foreign people. Moreover, the Sports Service of the University will also have a stand to present all the facilities and activities offered in all campuses.
