Call for election of students to the Senate of the University of Oviedo

The vote will take place on November 11 and the period to submit applications by the candidates to become one of the 75 students representatives will be open from October 15 to October 20

The election of students for the University Senate has been called, alongside the corresponding voting schedule. The period to present candidatures to fill in the 75 positions of student representatives of the university body will be open from October 15 to October 20, and the votations will take place on November 11.

The representation of students in the University Senate is composed of 72 delegates of the C1 Block, composed by students of Undergraduate and First and Second-Cycle Master's Degrees, and three representatives from the PhD Programmes and Third Cycle.

The Senate is the highest organ of representation of the university community. It is composed by the Rector, the General Secretary, the Manager and three hundred members elected among the different sectors of the university community. The elections to the Senate are called every four years and their ordinary general meeting has to take place, at least, once per year.
