The University of Oviedo establishes a Master's Degree in General Health Psychology

The institution has signed collaboration agreements with several medical centers and social organizations so that its students may go on supervised clinical internships

The University of Oviedo has signed this morning the new lines of collaboration that will enable the students of the Master's Degree in General Health Psychology to go on supervised clinical internships in the Centro Médico, the San Rafael Clinic and Proyecto Hombre.

The Rector of the University of Oviedo, Vicente Gotor, signed this morning the new collaboration agreements with the people in charge of these health centers and welfare organizations.

The Master's Degree in General Health Psychology will begin to be offered by the International Center for Postgraduate Studies of the University and it will have a professional profile, with a teaching model clearly oriented to professional practice. The latest legal dispositions published make the completion of this Master's Degree compulsory for those students who want to work as clinical psychologists. The new postgraduate Degree will start being offered by the University during the next academic year.

During the signing of the agreements were also present the Director of the International Center for Postgraduate Studies, Carmen Bermejo; the Dean of the Faculty of Psychology, Marcelino Cuesta; the Director of the Department of Psychology, José Carlos Núñez; Luis Manuel Flórez, Director of Poryecto Hombre Asturias; Micaela González-Quirós, Medical Director of the San Rafael Clinic, and José Ramón Hermida, Coordinator of Master's Degrees.
