Solidarity Space

The Program for Voluntary Work for students of Undergraduate Degrees is inscribed among the initiatives of the Solidarity Space of the University of Oviedo and its commitment with the Asturian society and the promotion of the values of solidarity, justice and equality.

Students who carry out voluntary work will be able to recognize this labor as Free Elective credits in their Undergraduate Degrees. The requirements to request the recognition of credits are featured in the Statutes of the University of Oviedo itself and the Statutes of the Student: the student will be able to recognize from 1 credit (per 25 hours dedicated to voluntary work) up to 6 ECTS credits, throughout their Undergraduate Degrees (with a maximum of 3 ECTS credits per academic year).

Said recognition will need a report by the person who directs the voluntary work in its corresponding organization and a report from the Director of the Area of Social Projection of the Office of the Vice-Rector for Students.

The only requirement for being a voluntary worker of the University of Oviedo is being willing to dedicate part of your time to any enterprise that benefit society.
