Reserva de plaza para deportistas y personas con necesidades específicas

Specific reservation of places for undergraduate studies

The University of Oviedo makes a specific reservation of places for certain groups of students who wish to start a degree course at the University of Oviedo. These students must apply for pre-enrolment as a procedure prior to admission and enrolment.

People with specific needs

The University of Oviedo reserves 5% of the available places for students with a recognised degree of disability equal to or greater than 33%, as well as for those students with permanent special educational needs associated with personal circumstances of disability who during their previous schooling have required resources and support for their full educational normalisation.

To this end, students with disabilities must present a certificate of qualification and recognition of the degree of disability issued by the competent body of each autonomous community.

However, and in consideration of people with disabilities, when a degree and centre are not offered in the extraordinary phase, because all the places have been filled in the ordinary phase, but some of the places in this reserve quota were accumulated to the general quota in the ordinary phase due to insufficient applications, the universities may increase the places, up to 5%, so that students with disabilities who participate in the extraordinary phase can access them.

Students with disabilities or special educational needs who are going to take the EBAU will do so according to their specific needs. To do so, they should contact the ONEO of the University of Oviedo.

The university reserves 5% of places for students with disabilities and 3% for high level or high-performance athletes.

Access for high level or high-performance sportsmen and women

The centres reserve a minimum of 3% of their places for those who can accredit their status as high-level or high-performance sportspersons and meet the corresponding academic requirements (PAU/EBAU, Higher Training Cycle, degree, etc.).

  • The centres that offer studies and teaching in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences, Physiotherapy and Physical Education Teacher or the degree courses that replace them (at the University of Oviedo, those of Primary Education Teacher), will reserve an additional quota equivalent to at least 5% of the places offered for high-level and high-performance sportspersons. This quota may be increased by agreement between the Consejo Superior de Deportes and the universities.

High-level sportspersons will be exempt from the physical tests that, where appropriate, are established as a requirement for access to the teaching and studies in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences.
