Students at the University of Oviedo have several international mobility options to choose from. Each of the options is adapted to different needs and geographical areas.
Within the thousand international agreements that the Asturian academic institution has undersigned, students can find the destination that interests them or best suits their needs.
All students interested in completing part of their studies outside Spain will find all the necessary information and advice at the Office of the Vice-Rector for Internationalization and Postgraduate Studies and through those responsible for international relations in their centres of study.
Each programme has its own specific academic features and the amount of the grants awarded is also different for each of them. Those students interested in participating in an international mobility shall check the specific requirements of each option. The mobility programmes managed by the Vice-Chancellor for Internationalization and Postgraduate Programmes are detailed below:
Graduate studies that last one academic year or one semester in European universities that have interuniversity agreements for the academic year 2016/2017, and include recognition of the studies.
Postgraduate studies (Master and PhD programmes) that last one academic year or one semester in European universities that have interuniversity agreements for the academic year 2015/2016 or 2016/2'17 depending on the duration of the master programme.
Erasmus for lectures
Stays of lecturers in European universities that have interuniversity agreements in the academic year 2015/2016, with a maximum of 5 days financed and travel allowances depending on the destination.
Stays aimed at the training of PDI or PAS staff in European universities with interuniversity agreements or agreements with other bodies that are not European Institutions of Higher Education, during the academic year 2015/2016, with a maximum of 5 days financed and travel allowances depending on the destination.
Call for mobility to do internships in European companies or entities, with a duration between 2 and 12 months, in the framework of the Erasmus + Programme (academic year 2016/2017)
Agreements on graduate mobilities
Graduate studies that last one academic year or one semester in universities out of Europe with interuniversity agreements during the academic year 2016/2017, with recognition of studies.
Agreements on Postgraduate mobilities
Postgraduate studies that last one academic year or one semester in universities out of Europe with interuniversity agreements during the academic year 2015/2016 or 2016/2017 depending on the duration of the master programme.
Participation in summer courses aimed at promoting and encouraging cultural cooperation with other countries, and also the linguistic improvement of the language spoken in the host country, which are developed in the framework of the Collaboration Agreements that the University of Oviedo has signed with foreign higher education institutions (summer 2016), with no recognition of studies.
Participation in the German Tándem Programme in Bochum, allows students to improve competencies in the German language and to obtain credits through a stay during the summer 2016.
Mobility programmes aimed at graduate and postgraduate students, implemented through international agreements with partner universities and institutions which offer lectureships to students of the University of Oviedo.
International Cooperation Internships
The University of Oviedo collaborates with the Principality of Asturias to carry out cooperation internships in different countries of Latin America and Africa. Students participating in internship programmes related to cooperation development projects will receive economic support to cover travelling and accommodation expenses. In addition, the University of Oviedo will manage the academic recognition of this activity through the award of ECTS credits.
Grants awarded in the framework of the Erasmus Mundus PUEDES Programme aimed at graduate or postgraduate stays in one of the Latin American universities that are part of the consortium consisting of 20 institutions.
