Erasmus Grants for Students with Specific Needs

The EU organizes a scheme for additional mobility assistance for Erasmus students to engage in study, practical courses including participants on Intensive Programmes (IP) and Erasmus Intensive Language Courses (EILC), as well as for teaching and non-teaching staff with special needs (severe disability).

The European Commission has adopted a general policy to integrate people with disabilities into all EU programmes and actions, particularly in the field of education.

The application of this policy in the sphere of mobility in higher education implies encouraging the conditions to enable people with disability to participate as completely as possible in community mobility programmes for students, lecturers and personnel from higher education institutions.

Students interested in applying for aid can follow the progress of the latest application process via the Intranet of the University of Oviedo (application deadlines, documentation required, list of participating companies, lists of candidates admitted, etc.)
