    General Information

    Access Requirements:

    In order to register in an official Master's Degree, it is mandatory to have completed an official degree in Spain or in any higher education institution of a member state of the European Union integrated in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) that allows students to take a Master's Degree. Students who have obtained their degree outside the EHEA can be admitted as long as the University can verify that these qualifications have a similar level to the corresponding degrees in Spain and they permit graduates to take a Master's Course.

    In terms of previous training, new students are required to have an academic background that allows access to the specific expertise in accounting, auditing and management control that is required by this degree. It is advisable to have basic knowledge of accounting and it would be particularly appropiate to have a degree in Economy, Business Administration and Business or Public Account (Latin America).

    While the following is not a mandatory requirement to access the Master's course, it is advisable to have basic knowledge of English. The student is required to at least be able to read technical texts in English as great part of the support material for the classes is written in this language.

    Professional Opportunities

    The training acquired during the Master's course will enable the student to highlight those professional skills attributable to an expert on accounting, accounting analysis or management control.

    This title will enable graduates to delve into the development of skills necessary to run the accounting, administration and counselling of a company, to perform the accounting operations necessary for the regularization of balances, as well as their integration and consolidation, to analyze the financing of media, including criteria opposed to risk and uncertainty, to apply management or financial control techniques, to prepare economic, financial or accounting studies or documents relating to the company that can have an impact on any Body of the Central, Local or Parastate Administration and on any other territorial body, as well as on any court.


    SYLLABUS 2015/16

    This Master's course is structured in 4 modules consiting of several mandatory and optional subjects.

    • Module 1: Preparation of economic and financial information (25 ECTS)
    • Module 2: Analysis, control and reporting of information (26 ECTS)
    • Module 3: Professional skills: Internship (6 ECTS)
    • Module 4: Professional skills: Master's Thesis (12 ECTS)

    The Master's course consits of 14 subjects (9 of them mandatory and 5 optional, from which the student will choose 2), as well as the Internship and the Master's Thesis, both of them mandatory. The subjects that make up the curriculum are detailed below:

    MODULE 2: Analysis, control and reporting of information

    • Analysis and evaluation of companies (5 ECTS)
    • Cost analysis and balanced scorecard (4 ECTS)
    • Corporate social responsibility (3 ECTS)
