Documentation

To complete pre-registration in a Master's Degree, the following required documentation must be addressed to the attention of the Director of the International Centre for Postgraduate Studies and submitted at any of the University of Oviedo registrar's offices:

  • Students with a Spanish degree, accredited foreign university degree or any other degree issued by an EHEA institution must submit the following documents:
    • Application form
    • Accreditation of the identity of the applicant, under the terms laid out in Royal Decree 522/2006 of 28 April. Pending the conclusion of the proceedings to grant the University of Oviedo access to the Identity Information Verification System, the applicant must include a copy of their National Identity Card or equivalent document (Passport/Foreign Resident Identification Number) with their application.
    • Pre-requisite university degree for the Master's Degree being applied to, except students with records/transcripts at the University of Oviedo. Either a plain copy of the diploma obtained or of the accredited certification of its issuance must be submitted.
    • Transcript issued by the University/Institution where studies were completed. This record must include the following information: marks, credits earned, type of credits, number of courses and degree earned (may be replaced by the European Diploma Supplement), except students with transcripts at the University of Oviedo. Applicants with an accredited foreign degree must also submit a certified copy of the foreign degree accreditation.
    • Standardized Curriculum Vitae in which other merits related to the specific requirements of the official courses being applied to appear, accompanied by accredited documentation of those merits indicated therein.
  • Students with degrees issued from educational systems outside the EHEA which have not been accredited must submit:
    • Application form
    • Accreditation of the identity of the applicant, under the terms laid out in Royal Decree 522/2006 of 28 April. Pending the conclusion of the proceedings to grant the University of Oviedo access to the Identity Information Verification System, the applicant must include a copy of their National Identity Card or equivalent document (Passport/Foreign Resident Identification Number) with their application.
    • Pre-requisite university degree for the Master's Degree being applied to. Either a plain copy of the diploma obtained or of the accredited certification of its issuance must be submitted.
    • Transcript of courses completed for the degree earned, in which the following, among other information, is stated: the official duration in academic years, the curriculum followed, courses taken, marks and credit hours for each course.
    • Accreditation issued by the competent body to the effect that the completed courses entitle admission to official Master's Degree courses in the issuing country.
    • Standardized Curriculum Vitae in which other merits related to the specific requirements of the official courses being applied to appear, accompanied by accredited documentation of those merits indicated therein.
  • NOTE: A certified copy of documents in a language other than Spanish must be submitted with their corresponding legal translation in Spanish. In the case of unaccredited degrees issued by education systems outside the EHEA, legal certification should be obtained either through diplomatic channels or by The Hague Apostille. All this documentation is to be sent to the International Centre for Postgraduate Studies.
