The University of Oviedo offers a simple on-line guide for students to quickly learn how to carry out certain procedures, what requirements must be completed for each and where to go to take care of it. This initiative aims to simplify things and pave the way for students through the bureaucratic paperwork, making the whole process much more efficient.

  • Request the University Card - Smart Card

    Description

    Users may request of the University Card, which works as a system of identification and access to the services for personnel of the university and depending on their user's profile: Students, Administration and Services Staff, Teaching and Research Staff, or several of them at the same time.

    The University Card developed by the Innovation Centre of the University of Oviedo provides greater functionality and integration with the university services.

    Ways to apply

    New Students

    The establishment of the new University Card has been divided into several stages to guarantee the best quality of the service offered to the community.

    New students will be able to request the University Card during the first phase. During the first weeks of the 2014-2015 academic year, several access points will be made available for students to request and print instantly their cards. Students requesting the card should follow these steps:

    • They must request an appoitment prior to going to the access point. This can be done via the following web service: https://euniovi.uniovi.es/EmisorTarjetasInstantaneas/.
    • After requesting an appointment, the student will have to go to the selected venue at the available date and time to pick up their card. It is compulsory that they provide a photocopy of both sides of their valid national ID.

    The new card is already activated and ready to be used with the functionalities it has incorporated. If the student should have any questions about it before or during this process, they can contact the user helpdesk service.

    Loss or misplacement of the card

    Members of the University community who have lost or misplaced their card may go to any of the venues where cards are being handed over during this first phase and request a new one, although they are not guaranteed to be assisted at that moment without an appointment.
