    Syllabus

Three Spanish universities participate in this programme: the University of Oviedo, the University of Cantabria (Santander) and the University of the Basque Country (Bilbao). This Master's Programme lasts one academic year, that is, it consists of 60 ECTS credits. The teaching period is divided into three terms. The course content consists of a set of compulsory subjects (12 ECTS) that are taught during the first seven weeks of the course in all the participating universities. This first set of subjects constitute a levelling course so that every student shares the same background training in Macroeconomics, Microeconomics and Econometrics. During the rest of the year, students can choose from a wide variety of optional subjects which are spread across the participating universities. Students must complete 36 ECTS credits of optional subjects. The remaining 12 credits correspond to the Master's Thesis.

To take advantage of the full potential of the subjects offered in all the participating universities, students must take at least 3 credits in each university. Furthermore, in order to help students to choose the most appropriate subjects, six different study tracks have been created: Industrial Economics, Game Theory and Environmental Economics, Policy Evaluation, Labour Economics, Economic Policies of the European Union and Quantitative Techniques in Economics.
