  • The University of Oviedo makes a documentary film on the musical and poetic tribute organized by the Ángel González Chair

    The performance ‘Between Love and Shadow, directed by the Asturian musicians Pablo Moro and Alfredo González, and the poet Pablo Texón, was performed in Gijón, Llanes, Navia and Oviedo. The concert held in the Paraninfo may be seen on January 3, at 23:15 on Channel TPA

    Pablo Moro (guitar and voice) and Alfredo González (piano and voice) have been in charge of the musical arrangements of the songs, appearing on stage alongside with Álvaro Bárcena (guitar, mandolin, pedal steel guitar and backing vocal) and Alejandro Blanco (percussion and backing vocal), and with the interpretation between song and song of a text elaborated and read by the poet Pablo Texón. Overall, eight poems of the autor of ‘Rough world' and Prince of Asturias Award, turned into songs: Elegido por aclamación, Entonces, Luna de abajo, No creo en la eternidad, Voz que soledad sonando, Alga quisiera ser, Final y Trabajé el aire.

    With this proposal, the Ángel González Chair of the University of Oviedo, brought along the University Extension of the academic institution to the Teatro Laboral Ciudad de la Cultura, Llanes (Casino), Navia (Espacio Cultural El Liceo) and Oviedo, where it was performed at the Paranifo, with so many people that many remained unseated and in the hall, as there was no space for everyone.

    The University of Oviedo, through its Audiovisual Services, recorded, elaborated and produced the performance held at the Paraninfo, and it is now broadcast on the public TV channel of the Principality of Asturias.

    This activity of the Ángel González Chair of the University of Oviedo has been developed by the Regional Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports of the Principality of Asturias, with the collaboration of the City Halls of Navia and Llanes, and Laboral Ciudad de la Cultura.
