The University of Oviedo has announced a call for grants funded by Liberbank consisting of 25.000 euros each, which will allow students to complete stays at other Spanish universities for a period between 5 and 9 months, thus having the opportunity to know a different Spanish city and university model, with a different teaching and pedagogic approach, emphasizing the student support services.

This initiative is part of the Collaboration Agreement between the University of Oviedo and Liberbank aimed at funding some of the initiatives contained in the Project of the Campus of International Excellence, which among others, includes funding for mobility programs for the students of the University of Oviedo, in the framework of the program SICUE (Exchange System between Spanish University Centers).

The grants will totally or partially cover travel expenses resulting from the mobility, and the amount will be distributed among those students who have been granted a mobility within the program SICUE for the academic year 2015/2016, establishing an initial amount of 320 euros for those staying in the peninsula and 462 euros for those who have to travel to the Canary or Balearic islands, or Ceuta and Melilla.

This framework agreement between the University of Oviedo and Liberbank, in force for three years from 2014 to 2016, also includes bilingualism programs, internationalization of research, Liberbank awards to Sports Medicine, awards to the best academic record of the University of Oviedo, and awards to the best academic records of the graduates in the Degree in Business Management and Administration and the Degree in Economics.
