The University of Oviedo celebrates the Girls' Day

An international day which tries to bring the female students of Secondary Education closer to the scientific-technological and engineering sphere.The University of Oviedo hosts a new edition of the Girl's Day, an initiative with international nature aimed at female students of Secondary Education, whose main purpose is to increase the presence of women in technological and scientific areas. In order to promote this goal, women with relevant positions not only in the entrepreneurial sphere but in the research field will collaborate in these lectures.
The first edition of this event took place in Asturias in 2009 as part of the GENIUNIOVI project belonging to the University of Oviedo. This year edition will be developed on the next 9th of March in the headquarters of the Polytechnic School of Engineering of Gijón, responsible of the event's organization in collaboration with the Vice- rector's office for Students and the University of Oviedo Foundation.
