The University of OViedo is attending the 40th Book Fair of Buenos Aires, which will take place from April 24 to May 12, with a selection of its editorial novelties. The objective is to disseminate in this venue, one of the most important international book fairs, its works with the most international projection, especially for the Spanish-speaking world.
Among the chosen titles we can find some with very diverse topics, such as Acerca del realismo constructivo- lecciones de Oviedo; Coreografiar la historia europea: cuerpo, política, identidad y género en la danza; Hacia una imagen no-tiempo. Deleuze y el cine contemporáneo, and Lope de Aguirre, de la crónica a la dramaturgia: presencia en ausencia en Lope de Aguirre, traidor.
The University of Oviedo is attending this fair as part of the stand of the Union of Spanish University Publishers (UNE), alongside 31 publishers from other universities and research centers. Overall, more than 400 books will be presented, comprising the most diverse areas of knowledge and topics: politics, history, philosophy, law, poetry, cinema, arts, music, communication, the environment, astrology, tourism and education, among others.
The 400 titles, whose total value amounts to €53,000, may be seen and bought at the stand of the UNE, which will be managed by Argentinian distributor Jorge Waldhuter. As it has been the norm so far, the books that remain unsold will be incoporated to the permanent collection that the UNE has at the University Library of Buenos Aires (1792 Tucumán St.). Said library currently has available more than 2,500 titles edited by the Spanish campuses.
