  • The University will open the treasures of the Historical Building to the audience in "Una hora espléndida" (A splendid Hour)

    The academic institution offers free guided tours around the main departments of the emblematic building.

    The University of Oviedo will open to the audience one of the most emblematic places which contains more than 400 years of history in its walls: the Historical Building, located in San Francisco Street. The academic institution, wishing to show its cultural heritage and approaching to Asturian society, will offer in "Una hora espléndida" (A splendid hour), from Mondays to Saturdays during the months of June, July and August, free guided tours around the valuable heritage of the building.

    "Una hora espléndida" programme summarizes a tour in the Historical building's history during sixty minutes. The visitor can access to the university chapel, the Auditorium, the Board of Togas, the Aula Magna, the Teaching staff's room, Isabel II's courtyard and the Library's central Room. .

    Dates: June, July and August.
    Timetable:
    June and July: From Mondays to Fridays: 12:00 h. and 17:00 h. / Saturdays at 12:00 h.
    August: From Mondays to Fridays: 11:00 h. and 12:30 h.
    During the holidays it will remain closed.
