University Conferences about the use of bikes as alternative means of transport

Chechu Rubiera, former cyclist, will take part in one round table offering practical advises in urban cycling.The bike is an alternative means of urban transport which can be quite useful in the university community members' daily trips. Following this statement, the potential of bikes as usual vehicle will be analyzed in the conference "The inclusion of bicycle in urban and university mobility" (La inclusión de la bicicleta en la movilidad urbana y universitaria), which will be held on the 22nd of February, at 17h in the Assembly Hall of the Historical Building of the University of Oviedo.
The rector, Vicente Gotor, will inaugurate the discussion groups, in collaboration with the head of the Provincial Traffic Office of Asturias, Raquel Casado, Oviedo's Councillor for Citizen's Security and Traffic of Oviedo, Concepción García and the vice-rector for Students and Employment, Susana López Ares.
The slogan "To a new mobility culture" will name the First round table which will be composed by speakers linked with urban traffic management as well as with representatives from diverse spheres of University. The Second round table will give advices to practise urban cycling. One of its most outstanding members will be Chechu Rubiera, former cyclist.
