  • Ignacio González del Rey has taken office as new Secretary General of the University of Oviedo

    This professor of Labour Law and Social Security has replaced José Francisco Fernández, who will head the Legal Services of Santander's town council.

    The teacher of Labour Law and Social Security Ignacio González del Rey is from today the new Secretary General of the University of Oviedo. González del Rey has replaced José Francisco Fernández, who had left this post so as to manage the Legal Services of Santander's town council.

    The rector of the University, Vicente Gotor, chaired this changing event in the Auditorium. Gotor appreciated the dedication that José Francisco Fernández has shown during the three years that he was in this post and he stressed the professional worth of the current Secretary General, who has been legal advisor to the Legal Services of the Asturian academic institution during the last two years.

    Ignacio González del Rey (Gijón, 1966) is graduate and PhD from the University of Oviedo. Throughout this professional career, has headed the Private and Business Law department and he has been substitute Judge of social affairs and counsel for the Higher Court of Justice (Tribunal Supremo) for three years. He's currently certified as professor of Labour Law and Social Security.
