    Access Requirements: The previous formation and experience of the student, in relation with the specialty they wish to access, and their academic record will be taken into account. Requisites demanded from the students and selection criteria:

    • Holders of Degrees, Diplomas and Bachellor's Degrees
    • Developing programs or professional activities in any of the areas of action of Sexology: education, counceling and sexual therapy...
    • Developing their professional career in the framework of the Affective-Sexual Education Plan of Asturias in any of its areas of action: community, education and public health.
    • Members of the associative movement who carry out programs of counceling and/or sexual education.

    Modality: Presencial

    Schedule: Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings (alternating weeks)

    Teaching Center: Fridays at the Faculty of Psychology, Saturdays at the Campus of Llamaquique

    Professional Opportunities

    The Expert's Degree in Sexology is framed in a new field of action that requires the formation of professionals in the different areas of work related to education, counceling and sexual therapy.

    In 2000, in Asturias, the Affective-Sexual Education Program is set in motion, promoted by the Health Council, the Education Council and the Asturian Institute of Women. This program is developed in the fields of public health, education and the community through the professionals who work in them. Throughouth these last few years, the need for quality and prestigious formation programs has been brought to the forefront, as well as the need to consolidate interventions in education, counceling and sexual therapy.

    This Expert's Degree in Sexology pays special attention to the module of Sexual Education and Counceling to support the needs of the professionals in this field who participate in the Affective-Sexual Education Program for Asturias.

    Syllabus

    The Expert's Degree in Sexology has a duration of one academic year, organized in two semesters with a total of 20 ECTS credits.
