    Access Requirements:

    Being in possession of an official University Degree. Nevertheless, exceptionally, admission will be extended to professionals directly related to to the speciality of the course who lack a Degree, as long as they prove their professional careers and meet the legal criteria to access University courses.

    Please check the Agreement of November 29, 2007 of the Governing Council of the University of Oviedo, which approves the regulation of studies leading to Certificate Degrees and other Postgraduate Degrees (BOPA, January 12, 2008).

    Admission Requirements:

    Nursing graduates willing to gain training in hemotherapy nursing that enables them to work in this field.

    Professional Opportunities

    On completion of the course, the student will have gained the necessary skills to work as a nurse in the hemotherapy services. Students will be offered and employment contract preferably in the area of study according to the criteria of the SESPA (Asturian Health Service).

    From the academic point of view, the course enables students to improve their professional record.

    Syllabus

    The XIX Expert's degree lasts from October to May and is organized into two terms to complete 21 ECTS credits.

    MODULE I - Theoretical contents: Foundations of hemotherapy. Donation and processing of blood components. Transfusion and blood safety. Special situations. Basic research of nursing care.

    MODULE II - Seminaris: Blood groups. Nursing action in transfusions. Computer system. Literature search.

    MODULE III - Clinical practicals: patient care

    Individual and group work.

    • Trabajo individual: Se trata de que el alumno reflexione y desarrolle un pensamiento crítico a base de su propia experiencia, basándose en el estudio de los contenidos y la vivencia del trabajo diario con el personal de la Unidad y con los pacientes. Para ello presentará un diario de trabajo donde desarrolle y justifique el método utilizado para resolver problemas prácticos o incidencias
    • Trabajo grupal. Se trata de buscar, profundizar y comprender la información publicada, intercambiar y llegar a conclusiones de los temas planteados al grupo. Los trabajos serán propuestos por los tutores en relación al proyecto de investigación.

    Ambos tipos de trabajos implican una actividad tanto presencial como no presencial.
