    Access Requirements:

    Being in possession of an official University Degree. Nevertheless, exceptionally, admission will be extended to professionals directly related to to the speciality of the course who lack a Degree, as long as they prove their professional careers and meet the legal criteria to access University courses.

    Please check the Agreement of November 29, 2007 of the Governing Council of the University of Oviedo, which approves the regulation of studies leading to Certificate Degrees and other Postgraduate Degrees (BOPA, January 12, 2008).

    Admission Requirements: Graduates and professionals of the field without a University degree but proven experience in activities relating to the course contents and who meet the legal requirements to access University studies.

    Students will be selected according to the following criteria: academic record, the relationship of their curriculum vitae to the course contents and a personal interview, if considered necessary by the course director.

    Professional Opportunities

    The course aims to provide students with a highly-specialized academic and practical training in Human Resources that will enable them to assume leadership positions within the organization of companies and institutions.

    Syllabus

    This is a 1-year course organized into two terms to complete 25 ECTS credits.

    MODULE 1. Planning human resources

    • Overview of the company and Staff Management.
    • Organization and structure of the Human Resources Department.
    • Staff planning. Post description, analysis and design.
    • Training, development and appraisal development.

    MODULE 2. Selection and recruitment

    • Phases in the recruitment process. Recruitment methods
    • Recruitment instruments (internal, external, competence-based. Outplacement, outsourcing)
    • Mediation systems in the labour market. Collection of information.
    • Prohibition of discrimination to access employment. Termination of employment relationship.
    • Concept of employment. Employment contract. Its forms

    MODULE 3. Training and career

    • Relationship between "business plan", training programmes and career
    • Training strategies and policies: business strategy
    • Government training initiatives. Management of grants for training
    • Custom training models, coaching and mentoring: Management development. Career plans. Analysis of the working environment. HR audit.
    • Professional classification and promotion. Rules on functional mobility

    MODULE 4. Personnel management

    • Training and career

    • Economic effects of trade unionism. Collective bargaining techniques
    • Techniques for the prevention adn resolution of conflicts in the company
