• The Erasmus Mundus PUEDES Project gets 1.200 applications to participate in mobility programs next year

    The Selection Commission of this European project meets in Oviedo to award the second batch of grants, for 100 students

    The University of Oviedo is holding the meeting of the selection commission of the Erasmus Mundus Puedes program, to award the second batch of grants for the project financed by the European Commission. This second call received 1200 applications willing to be awarded with one of the grants in this call.
    The meeting is attended by representatives of the Federal University of Río de Janeiro, the University of Bordeaux, the University of Pisa, the Autonomous University of Hidalgo State, the European University of Viadrina, the National University of Asunción and the University of Oviedo. Likewise, two members of the Executive Agency in the Educational, Audiovisual and Cultural fields participated in this meeting as well, coming from Brussels and willing to meet with the students granted in the first call. 
    The project consists of more than 20 partners, and includes 6 European universities located in Germany, France, Greece, Italy, Poland and the United Kingdom, and also 13 Latin American universities located in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, México, Paraguay and Peru. The places offered to join the exchange cover all the fields of knowledge although they pay special attention to the most relevant ones, according to several studies, to promote contributions for the social and economic development of the third countries taking part: Business Administration and Management, Engineering and Technology, Law, Medical Sciences and Social Sciences
