The University of Oviedo Choir has been awarded with the "Urogallo de bronce 2010"

This prize, given by the Asturian Centre of Madrid, recognizes the labor developed by the choir through all these yearsThe musical work of the Choir has gained a new recognition: the Bronze Grouse. This is a prize given every year by the Asturian Centre of Madrid.
The choir is a band formed by fifty voices, most of them are students of the university, and it's currently led by Joaquín Valdeón. Its career comes from the beginning of the 20th century and has come to give concerts in France, Italy, Germany, United States and Mexico. This is one of the few choirs which performs the polyphony of the Spanish Golden Age and Spanish authors.
